Year in Review 2015

Just a few notes because, yes, its been over 2 years since I updated this last. Life has become a real dance and mostly I feel like I'm tripping over my feet instead of doing really cool moves that inspire people.

Sammi celebrated her 3rd birthday. We played over the summer; family reunion, fishing, and swim lessons. One of the reasons I fall behind is trying to transfer photos from cell phone to hard drive and the organizing them from there. It takes too much time.

Logan Temple

Ellie kept saying she wanted to do something fun but I wasn't really in the mood to go and do anything so we drove to the Logan Temple to walk around. The only other time we have gone was a Monday night so the gates were closed. We lucked out today because although the building is closed for cleaning and maintenance, the gates were open and we could still walk around. This time I remembered my camera and that I needed to take some pictures.

Swinging and sliding down the back railing.

Ellie wanted a picture with some flowers

Taking time to cool their hands off.

Smelling the flowers and digging in the dirt.
They knocked on all the doors, tried to open them, and smelled half of the flowers.
As I went to take the above picture, the wind started blowing just a bit. I didn't have to wait long for the wind to be strong enough for this pic. After that the wind just stopped again. I love it. Two of the most amazing and strongest symbols out there. One stands for freedom, liberty, and hard work. The other stands for agency, eternity, and love.

This simple trip reminded me how blessed I am and how I am watched over by a loving Heavenly Father. It brought such peace to my day that we were able to do more.

So...it's been a while. We've moved.

Yes, it has been a bit. Life just kinda happens. First off back in October, Jake started a job in Logan. He had been commuting at least 4 days a week between Sandy and Logan. Finally with things settled, the holidays over, and what not, we found a place close to Logan and moved. It was one of the easiest moves I have ever done. More than half our stuff was still packed from our move back from Denver. Besides that, almost all of the family was available to help move stuff into the new place.

Since then, we have been trying to organize ourselves and have fun.
View from our back door.
The view from our back door is beautiful, especially in the morning as the sun rises. The mountains are painted pink. There was a small herd of deer living out in the field. Look close and you can see them. Or just wait for them to come into the yard.

I also had a few projects to finish up. Finally after 4 years, I finished this one. We were given this dresser before Ellie was born. I think it turned out pretty good.

There are plenty of more stories to come. I just have to take the time to write them down.
